Authority is sought for the Release of S106 contributions to Worth Parish Council toward the additional costs of installing an inclusive roundabout at the Bowers Place Playground in Crawley Down.

The Cabinet Member for Environment and Service Delivery authorised the release of £365 Play S106 Contributions to Worth Parish Council toward the cost of installing an inclusive roundabout at Bowers Place Playground in Crawley Down; arising from development at Land south of Grange Road (Ref: P35/725).

The Council’s 2019/20 Corporate Plan and Budget set out proposals to carry out a two-year programme of investment in the District Council’s parks including the improvement of seven playgrounds across the district.

Among the priorities for Year 2 of this programme (2020/21) was a project to improve the playground at Turners Hill Recreation Ground.

A capital bid for £60k was submitted and approved in the 2020/21 budget for this project; and designs have now been prepared following local public consultation.

The Council wishes to seek tenders for the installation of the new equipment. However, initial cost estimates indicate that the project is likely to cost approximately £71k.

This Capital Justification Form therefore seeks authorisation to allocate further sums of s106 towards the project, to enable the full improvement project to take place.

The Cabinet Member for Environment and Service Delivery authorised the release of £11,934 Section 106 Play and Kickabout Contributions to enable the full improvement of the playground at Turners Hill Recreation Ground to take place.

The purpose of the report is to seek Cabinet Member for Housing and Planning approval to change the affordable housing units at Shirley Cottage, 17 Copthorne Road, Felbridge, East Grinstead from a mix of rent and shared ownership to rent to buy.

The Cabinet Member for Housing and Planning approved the decision that 8 affordable housing units on the Shirley Cottage, 17 Copthorne Road, Felbridge, East Grinstead site become a ‘’Rent to Buy’’ project through Rentplus.

This report seeks approval to re-allocate Total Access Demand (TAD) contributions that were previously committed to West Sussex County Council (WSCC) to Mid Sussex District Council (MSDC) to facilitate the delivery of agreed projects within the Burgess Hill Place and Connectivity Programme.

The Cabinet Member for Housing and Planning authorised the release of £67,076.35, previously committed to West Sussex County Council, to Mid Sussex District Council from Total Access Demand (TAD) contributions arising from developments at Land at 86 Junction Road, Land at Kings Head Public House, Land at Summerfold House, Land at 67 Victoria Road, Land at 107 Fairfield Road and Land at 71 Victoria Road to facilitate the delivery of agreed projects within the Burgess Hill Place and Connectivity Programme.
