Minutes:

The Chairman confirmed that there were no substitutes.

To receive apologies for absence.

Minutes:

Apologies were received from Cllr Knight.

To receive Declarations of Interests from Members in respect of any matter on the agenda.

None.

To consider whether to exclude the Press and Public from the meeting during consideration of the following items in accordance with Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972 on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the said Act.

Minutes:

That the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 7 of Part I of Schedule 12(A) of the Local Government Act 1972.

To confirm the minutes of the previous meeting of the Committee held on 4 July 2022.

The Minutes of the meeting of the Sub-Committee held on 4 July 2022 were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

Determination of Application for Renewal of Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence.

The Sub-Committee considered whether to reject Mr BB application to extend his licence on a vehicle that is more than 10 years old on the basis there are no exceptional grounds to depart from the Council’s policy or agree with Mr BB representation that his situation is exceptional and to proceed and permit the renewal of the licence for a further year.

 

RESOLVED

 

The Committee agreed with the licensing team’s decision to reject Mr BB application to extend his licence on a vehicle that is more than 10 years old on the basis there are no exceptional grounds to depart from the Council’s policy.
