4.	To consider whether to exclude the Press and Public from the meeting during consideration of the following items in accordance with Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972 on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the said Act. Minutes: The public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items on the grounds they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12 (A) of the Local Government Act 1972. The Panel went into a closed session at 11:33
5.	Determination of Application for Renewal of Private Hire Vehicle Licence. View the reasons why item 5. is restricted Minutes: The Chairman explained that the Sub-Committee resolved to reject the application. The Chairman stated that the vehicle was over 10 years old and therefore was not as safe as a new vehicle would be. He stated that this was crucial for Mid Sussex District Council’s Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy. The Chairman stated that Mr Milton would still be able to drive until 9 June 2024, when he would need to apply for a new licence. RESOLVED The Licensing Sub-Committee rejected the application.
