RESOLVED

 

That the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 7 of Part I of Schedule 12(A) to the Local Government Act 1972.

To confirm the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 19 December 2018.

The Minutes of the meeting of the Sub-Committee held on 19 December 2018 were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

Review of a Private Hire Drivers Licence

The Sub-Committee considered whether applicant Mr NIis a fit and proper person to hold a Private Hire Drivers Licence, Private Hire Vehicle Licence and Private Hire Operator Licence.  

 

RESOLVED

 

That Mr NI is not a fit and proper person to hold a Private Hire Drivers Licence, Private Hire Vehicle Licence and Private Hire Operator Licence and all the licences were revoked.

 

6.

Review of a Private Hire Drivers Licence

The Sub-Committee considered whether applicant Mr JRis a fit and proper person to hold a Private Hire Drivers Licence.  

 

RESOLVED

 

That Mr JR is a fit and proper person to hold a Private Hire Drivers Licence however his licence is to be suspended for two weeks, starting 21 days after the suspension notice has been served. He is also to be issued with a formal warning.  Further a condition of good behaviour will be added to his licence for a period of 12 months from the date of the Sub-Committee. Any breach of the rules and regulations, conditions or complaints will mean the driver appears before the Sub-Committee again for them to consider if he remains a fit and proper person to hold a Private Hire Drivers Licence.
